The Sweet Taste of Success at SiGMA

Our SiGMA experience started off with a bang this year, thanks to a big win at the Malta iGaming Awards on the opening night of the conference.

We picked up the prize for Casino Affiliate of the Year, our third award this year, which thrilled us all.

After the celebrations it was time to work and network at this popular event in the iGaming calendar, which took place at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali between 27 and 29 November.

We gave our stand a colourful new look which caught plenty of eyes from those attending the conference, all curious to know who we are, what we do and how we can benefit each other.

We came up with the idea of having a sugar cane juice bar on our stand to entice people in still further. The crowds loved it and raved about our tasty sweet drinks. We even heard a couple of people say it was the best juice at the conference!

That’s further proof that conferences are made #betterwithblexr

But that wasn’t all we had going on. We gave out our fancy branded brollies – each one made from 10 recycled plastic bottles – to anyone who uploaded a selfie, taken on the stand, to their social media.

Meanwhile, members of our commercial team were kept busy shaking hands and cutting substantial deals in meetings with both current and potential partners.

On the second day of the conference, we raffled away a weekend break for two to Barcelona, where our second office is based. Oriana Cristauro won the prize and she couldn’t contain her excitement!

Calvin Ayre’s Becky Liggero also stopped by our stand to interview Koen Bongers, our super head of search who also won SEO Idol of the Year at the iGaming Idol awards in September. She asked him about life working at Blexr and his thoughts on Google’s latest algorithm updates.

A handful of our female staff also graced the cover and a ten-page spread in the SiGMA magazine where they talked about their iGaming careers. Copies of the mag were handed out throughout the show and it was great to see the face of our Blexrian Maggie absolutely everywhere.

It was an action-packed three days, that’s for sure. We met lots of new people, put faces to names and tantalised some taste buds with our sugar cane juices.

We’ve got bags of ideas for what else we could do at similar expos in future, so keep your eyes peeled for us – we’re plotting and scheming to be even bigger and better.
